wiring in spotlamps - mk2 nova

as per the last somewhat basic request i posted on here i have no haynes manual to hand, thus;

which wire triggers the headlamp main beam on a mk2? is it the solid white wire? i need to tap into the correct wire to activate my relay so that spotlamps only come on while main beam is live.
