The early c16 pre ecotec head which has bigger ports or the late X16 head with triangular inlets?
The XEL head with the triangular inlets

As above they're what SBD have found have more tuning potential, from Astras btw.

The SBD site seems to say both heads have their advantages from what I can see on there... unless its jus how its worded...

My spare head seems to be the later version (cast codes matches whats on SBD site) could turn out to be a result!
Taken from SBD's website:-
We recommend the either the head from the early GSI, this has the larger oval port size with a slight raised arch in the middle or the later triangular ported head . The 1600cc cylinder heads with the triangular ports are found on the X16XEL engine from the Astra/Zafira from 1998 to now. In tests we've found this to be as good if not slightly better, any other heads are not as good even after being ported due internal shape.
