rev counter

hi all iv just fitted a 1.6 8v gte engine into my nova and a digi dash but my rev counter doesn't work, iv got the green wire from the engine loom but every time i connect the wire to the coil pack the engine cuts out :( can anyone help please and its the barrel type coil pack not the sqaure one

your using the wrong green wire on the coil area. thew e16 has its own green in the loom iirc

thats the one i was trying to use, is it meant to go to the positive or the negative on the coil pack because theres a connector on the positive but i tink it might be on the wrong one for some reason :s

Rev counter is -ve fed iirc.
