just got Katherine's GTE MOT'd this is the failure sheet, was quite impressed really, even the tester said "no worries if you dont mind welding, its a good little car"
but it is a lot of welding, not sure if its worth it or not, the rest of the car is immaculate, but is a lot of welding.

nah its ok, i can it sorted, but would have to be done properly so dosent come through next year, will ring a few mates and see who can fit it in.
if you have the time would it not be better to reshell?
just after reshelling a GSi into a spotless(just had to be painted!) "92 shell for that very reason!
might be quicker to get someone to take it away and attack it with the welder though

did think about that, but the front of this car (engine bay) is immaculate, and then you have to find a decent shell wich aint always easy!
thats the good thing about living over here, we have immaculate shells because our roads never get salted.
The car i just finished is now a "92 GSi which was once a red 1L. Abosolutely no rust what so ever and i bought it with the engine blown for 200 euro. there was a dog living in it and it hadn't been driven in years!!!
