Have you had chance to get the trumpets off yet?

We have 90mm's on our set up and are either going have to modify the bulk head quite seriously, go to 40mm's which we don want to do or modify the manifold which probably isn't the best route either

What car are/is your 90's going in to chaps and have you had any clearance issues ?

its going into a nova with the bulkhead cut away completely

We've cut the bulk head already but the trumpets are still pointing directly at the main bulk head i.e where the heater matrix pipes enter and exit so there is very little room for a filter or any air space around the trumpets

We are either going to have chop in as far down as where the break bar runs and re box it or get the manifold cu and rewelded to put approx a 20 degree angle it in which would then point them into the void where the heater matrix was.

Have you trial fitted yours yet ?

what inlet manifold are you using?

im going to be running a parallel faced one from sbd so the jenveys will sit at the same angle as the inlet manifold mounting flange.

i havent trial fitted it yet, but if i have to section the bulkhead down a bit then so be it!

I dont have a brake bar to worry about as im running a corsa bias pedal box

you want to try and change the angle guys..
with the trumpets pointing upwards more, theres room for 90mm trumpets and then some (i have +40-odd mm for dome airfilter in addition) AND you can still keep the firewall..

im using the bottom one

yeah, that must be the issue - with it being straight out; theres less room and youre hitting difficult to remove/modify parts.. only way now is to buy an angled spacer or swap your item for something more like the two above your bottom one..

the bottom one is the one i need, the top two are designed for carbs - and hence sit the carbs level so float mechanisms work etc.

The bottom one points the tb's up at an angle,

I would guess that the problems slippy has is due to having a carb manifold

I am fairly sure i wont have clearance problems - but i might be eating humble pie in a few days lol!

just found a pic of giles's - although he's using itb's not twin jenvey bodies - the angle is still the same

ok well, i thought the issue was concern about room in the 'bay with 90mm trumpets - with the setup being flat/straight youde have issues.. but if yours is as pic, which is like mine, then as said; youll have plenty of room - even for a nice oversize dome filter like that in the pic.
