We want to smashed up pistons, bent rods, burnt out valves, holes in the block, knackered cranks ....

aint got pics yet. took rocker cover off and one of the vavles just aint there lol gonna get engine changed the morn so will remember to get some pics when i rip the head off :)

No the first thing youve got to do is take the 1.0 apart and put the pics up for our amusement!

Then and only then will permission be granted for you to put the 1400 in.

it's an 8v, anything 'wet' will do. Put veg oil in it.

It will be, a bent valve, as the rockers bounce out of place, and twist, so boing lol

Did one on a down shift, thinging i was cool on a roundabout lol

my mate grenaded his, just dont change out of 2nd. at all.
no 4 piston exploded and nommed the head/valves/everything.

i can't believe blowing up a 1.0 merits having a thread......... anyone daft enough to try & rag a 20 year old ****ter of an engine..... ooops.... big & small block ohc lumps are actually a 35 year old design.......

right i have been too busy trying to sort the running problem of the 1.4 to even think about stripping the head off the 1.0. it seems to be running 3 cylinders and not firing on the 2nd cylinder. its getting spark to all the plugs and its just confusing me now. does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this problem as i need the car for work.

If it only has 4 gears it'll do a few more mhp in 4th... not many more though haha

1.4 = do a comp test.

just cos a plug will spark on the outside of the engine doesn't mean it will on the inside.

the other option is a hyd lifter has gone.. rocker cover off is 2 minute job

ive had 3 1litre novas and absolutely blasted the bollucks off them all.Not one ever missed a beat.I even had 92mph for a constant 30miles with no trouble
I used to bang flames out of them aswell.

I had 97 for 15 miles it was fine. Revving it's nuts off though.

all lifters are fine. car is now running 3 cylinders on first half of throttle but 4 at full throttle.

some 1 has done away with youre number 2 piston and conrod mate

fair bit of oil on the left hand side think it might o been leaking tht may be why it stoped :p lol
