i was forced to watch this glorified trailer for a computer game this week by my kids.... it was truly awful, the plot was from an old cowboy film, every character was a cliche, the smurfs were some of the clunkiest animations i've seen, and they used the same bloody background music as the titanic......

please let me know how you got on with it..

like titanic, smurfs in space suffered from mr cameron being way too clever with the effects & forgetting to actually tell a story...

I have no inclination to watch it at all.

I find with films that when there is a huge media hype & good reviews behind them, most folk just agree anyway & not make their own opinion. Much like how I thought the A-team was OK & worth seeing once............ just as James King said on radio 1.

I thought the plot was based on recent american history. it has distinct parallels with the whole iraq/oil thing. :p so in other words, complete and utter sh*te, whoever thought of it must have been on meth

having said that, i slept for a good hour in the middle, and would have just walked out if it weren't for the fact i was with my old man and he was enjoying it :tard:

It was written 5-6 years ago so I doubt that somehow.

I thought it was excellent tbh, watched it in the cinema in 3d and the setting/storyline was really engrossing. Probably the 2nd best movie I've ever seen, first being the original matrix but you can only get the full effect of that first time round lol

well as in finished, he started it/wrote the original story sometime in the 80's iirc... converted it to movie a few years ago (2000 rings a bell actually!) and waited until now for the special effects to be good enough to portray what he wanted them to.

it was a cowboy film the ranchers try to move in on the settlers land, they send in a plant to undermine them & then he joins them.. it has been done hundreds of times. & if you didn't see the 911 parallel with the big tree, then maybe i expect too much from a film... like acting, a script, decent music, etc......

i watched UP recently & saw a much better product.

I've never seen it. Mowgli- don't diss Titanic! Mmmmmmm Leo :p there doesn't need to be a plot when there's a man that fit.

the trouble with Tit-antic, is that the story was fascinating enough without all the lovey dovey thing & the precious jewel.....even though the bit with kates boobs is quite nice

Oh, and celine dion singing 'my song will go on' i was cheering when it hit the iceberg, cos i knew it was nearer the end than the start..

amazing titantic movie fact.... it has more mistakes than any other film

America has had its finger in the Iraq pie long before the invasion in the 90s. Where do you think Saddam got a lot of his weaponry and military training from during the Imposed War?

No doubt has more people looking for mistakes than any other film too lol

No intention of ever watching gayvatar (much like I shall never watch any of the bored of the ringpieces films either)

I've found that films which get 'critics' loving them, I tend to loathe lol, esp that utter homo james ****face king.

I like cheesey keep you entertained, forget the storyline, just have explosions and crashes films :) If its longer than 90mins you've lost me (although inception was good if epicly long lol)
