Ive got a 1.2 mk2 nova with a Pierburg 1b1 carb on it. Ive got a Pierburg 2e3 carb and its manifold in my garage. I want to put the 2e3 carb and its manifold on my nova. The thing is, the 2e3 carb has got an automatic choke and the 1b1 carb has got a manual choke. I want to keep the manual choke. How will i do this? Is it possible? Cheers

i am also very interested in knowing this answer. I might run my 1.2 on a 2e3 for a bit si i can save up and buy the weber 32/34.

I heard that automatic chokes are quite problematic. and arn't as good as the manual.

i should think your local motor shop should have them, mine does but wants ?34 for the pierburg kit. halfords *might* have them.

don't know if you can get them online anywhere, but the motorshop up the road from me (Ely Motors or somesuch) wanted ?34 for the pierburg kit. you could ask at a motor factors.

i found a place online but they want ?49 +vat and delivery.
that includes choke cable, conversion mechanism and instructions.

Guess its the only way though. I'll have a look round local places but i don't really know where or what type of garage to ask at.
