k, i need some help in changing the colour of layers in adobe photoshop.

What exactly do you mean, changing colours of layers?
Theres numberous ways of going about it. Give us a bit more information on what your trying to do and I'll tell you whats best.

my brain is someone disfunctional at the moment... hence me putting my mood over there on the left beneath the car i drive.
To answer the question in some way and not make this another useless post...
You could try adding a new layer above the one you want coloured and fill it with solid colour of say, red for example... and then adjust the opacity/overlay effects of it to find an effect you want. Thats one way...
Another would be to mess with the hue/saturation settings a bit and see if thats what you want.
