I take it this is the nikasil issue you're worried about?

Look down at the top of the gearbox under the inlet manifold, if there is a metal tab, you're fine.

right.. as this sceptred isle has been on ultra low sulphur for ages, and the car is about 13 years old, and the problem appears to be from 1993, is the baxtermobile suffering from low compression?

it seemed to be running fine when you left rubber outside my place.

i think that after 15 odd years, its hardly a problem... it should have gone bang by now if it was going to
