body shape has sod all to do with euro emissions.....

as far as I care all Type R's look the same, just like porsche only make the 911.

lol and a Nova isnt??!!

Bit of a shame TBH. Always liked the CTR's (obviously i am slightly biased;)). Ah well.

Wonder how long before other hot hatches are killed of or become watered down because of the European regs?

Deffo a shame - the car/shell has nothing to do with it, as they could just slap another engine in...

The engines are epic - end of.

i have a dc5 and to be honest am not sad to see that shape of civic being killed off!
the k20 vtec engines is one of the best engines around ultra reliable and the noise is great!! although not the torquest of engines when driven correctly great fun!

as for buring oil my barely burns a drop neither did my old dc2, it all depends on what oil you use!!

The engine is being killed off in the EU, not the body ffs

Mine uses oil if you cane it everywhere - but tbh - an engine 'should' if its driven hard (over 7k)

If you used an XE everyday that revved to 9000, I think it may use a smidge! lol

Well personally I think VTEC's have been pretty legendary, but you would expect this kind of response on a Vauxhall forum. We all get defensive over our GM lumps yet who on here is running an engine in their Nova which wasnt conceived after the mid 80's? (smallblock XE's aside - which are mini 20XE's...)
