Is it possible to keep a 1.2i gearbox with a 1.4SR engine

I am considering an engine change. I am thinking of buying a 1.4SR engine. I have a Nova 1.2i (5 speed), but the engine i am buying doesn't have a gear box. Is this a problem?????? Can i keep the same one without any modifying???

i think it should be ok. Do you know if your gearbox is close range? (F13 CR). I'm pretty sure it'll fit even if you just got an F10 /5-speed or even /4 speed.

only when you hit 1.6 and upwards do u get bigger flywheels

it will be the same box.... if u speced the optional f10/5 when u bought a 1.2i then all they did was fitted the sr box
