Right then, my LET conversion will be done soon and I still can't find an exhaust system and I'm not paying £600 for a new one.

So, I was thinking of using a Nova exhaust system (Magnex 2") and mate it up to a standard LET down pipe, will this work? Obviously some welding will be required

Give Shaun a PM, I'm sure he was selling/breaking his LET Nova, might sell you his exhaust.

Buggar, well you should be fine making one fit from the existing exhaust section you have, you could always get a exhaust place to make the middle section up to get the correct bends and then you can attach your existing section rather than buying a full system.

What southie said is the best way, get a "sleeve" fabricated that will mate with the let downpipe and your standard exhaust, then you have to do no bodgy welds and it will flow better than a randomly welded pipe jobby.

hgv parts places can supply lengths of flexi exhaust, std angle bends & clamps. it will fit easy

Correctly constructing your own exhaust isn't a bodge IMO

£600 for a exhaust ? WTF

Surely you can get the standard let down pipe to meet your exhaust ? With a bit of thinking and welding.

get the middle pipe off the donor vehicle, cav/cally etc and then cut & joint it to the rear part of your system

Can you weld?

Buy the pipe and tack it together yourself, if your not a good welder then get somebody else to weld it up for you, or do it yourself off the car.

Local powerflow wanted £450 and their quality is crap. lol

Does anyone know whats the diameter of a standard C20LET downpipe?

If you can make your own, do it. I sorted my XE system the other day. Cut and shut on the standard C20XE (C20LET in your case!) manifold FTW!

I think I've kinda worked it out now.

Going to buy a TX autosport 3" downpipe, universal silencer, some 3" bends and pipes and make a side exist :)

There 3" down pipe will need modding to fit a nova, you end up loosing half of it much like the standard down pipe :(

How come?

Whats the best solution? I don't think making a downpipe from scratch is easy plus I need flange etc.
