it was only a guess haha

I do belive cosworth make high perforamce pistons, and im guessing the cars use them?

If not they prob thought it looked pretty haha

Jonlem

Cosworth are a engine component manufacturer as well as building complete engines for things like the new F1 cars etc..

They make all sorts from pistons to gaskets and so forth as well

Do a search for the company that makes it as there was some pictures of a car in a wind tunnel showing how the setup actually works.

But yes basically it helps, just like similar stuff does on a F1 car

It does when done properly!:thumb: They help move the air around the car to give better downforce! Im sure Norris Designs would of done a proper job of it, as the car hasnt exactly been skimped on has it!;)
Most of that will of been for the handling circuit then probably removed for 1/4 miles and top speed runs!

There is apparently £250,000 in that Evo so as you say most stuff is there for a good reason. That said the package hasn't yet blown anything into the weeds but clearly with a 3rd position on the handling circuit its fair to say its showing its potential.

LOADS more power to come yet though but with that will come more issues

250k and they couldn't put some canards on it that didn't blow directly onto the tyres that dont fit in the arches? lol

3rd in the handling would say he is improving... a LOT

There are some superb drivers at TOTB and I was shocked to see that he beat so many of them.

Technically he came 2nd as nobody was going to touch that Dax

The cars run in the 'Time Attack' series & part of the rules are you have to run the series sponsors decals on the car, & as Cosworth are a sponsor hence the stickers.

Martin

Cracking pics by the way.
First year i didnt go.

Went to 'Ford Fair' at Silverstone instead!!!!!

Cheers Martin, I should of mentioned that as well !

The Scooby Clinic car had quite a dramatic failure at the end of the day, something went up in flames at the end of his 1/4 mile run but it didn't look to of burnt much when I took that pic. That said it could of stuck a rod or two out of the block which will be expensive enough to sort !

Ford Fair sounded good, not been for years now as it pains me to go to such events and not be on track.

Yeh over a second faster than anything shows it was in a league of its own really !

Mental car, you need some deep pockets to run that sort of thing though !

Was a good day.
Never been before. Always been a Cosworth fan so was a toss up between TOTB, Ford Fair or Rally Cross at Mallory.

Been TOTB lots, Rally Cross on again next month so picked to look at blue ovals!
Mate of mine knew the guy that was showing his 'work in progress' Ford Anglia. 550bhp Harvey Gibbs Cosworth engine, 6 speed sequential flappy padal box, full space frame (only window surround left of origonal car!) & will once complete be full carbon.
Reported to cost once finished £100k!!!!
Impressive piece of engineering & cant wait to see finished article.

Good day out I thought.

Cars that I liked...

Milners Sprint GT4 Celica, 550bhp + gas and he drove it like a demon, 4 wheel drifting round the hanfling circuit was class...

The grey R34 which must have been running stupid power, spinning all 4 wheels through 2nd gear, with the biggest backfires ever... AWESOME!

Simon Norris's 550bhp YB Sunbeam, build quality looked immense, I wanted to take it home with me...

Did the guy in the 4dr Civic win the FWD handling? Quite an turn up if he did, beating the time attack CRX.... as as far as I know its a home built car for trackdays, at least that was his aim last time I spioke to him...

I believe the Fiat won the handling with Birchie in the Corsa grabbing 2nd, thats only what I heard on another forum though, Nigel in the Fiat is quick and usually wins it but that civic was rapido and looked to handle really well.

BTW I believe its Paul Norris that owns the Sunbeam, brother of Karl who runs NMS

This was at Goodwood festival of speed last month.
Was driving it like he stole it then.

2nd fastest overall up the hill. Only beaten by an old Williams F1 car!
