There are loads of different options including everthing from omega/carlton boxes to ford stuff

manta boxes are fine if you dont drive like a hooligan 24/7. i offered him 2400 and he said no. it owes him 5k apparently

depends on what manta box..

gertrag 240 or gertrag 265.

both will do fine. i hava a mate who bolted a 4 speed gertrag 240 on his fase 3 let. sideways in all gears, topspeed of 180 km/h lol

you can also use a e30 m3 box (that's also a gertrag 265, but very short geared).

R25 from a carlton c20ne is also possible.

My mates using an omega box, with hydraulic clutch setup.

His is quite bespoke though, mounts etc!

Manta 1800 box is 100% for LET power and more, just most aren't fitted and modified properly.:thumb:

people reckon 150bhp is tops for the manta box...mates kadett C was running 320bhp with gas through his before going to an omega box, never had a problem, and he gave the box some stick too.

probably just a looked after box before he got hold of it

tbh thats not a bad price for the car.

and that is another reason i am running the manta b axle, its wider, but it can take more, so if i wanna let the chevette later on im ok lol.

and as for the gearbox, i was going to go type 9 as it has alot of plus sides, but a manta one popped up at the right price and close so i had it.

the type 9 box has so much more support its unreal.
the carlton boxes are biggggggg.
