tuning the X16Xe

Am I right in thinking that the flywheel from a nova GTE/GSI is lighter than the original Corsa Sport X16XE item? Is it a straight forward fit? Which clutch do I use, the nova or corsa? Im going to use the F13 CR from the nova as the corsa one im running at the mo seems to long in the ratios.

Got that with the flywheel I have.
Got the engine apart now and it dont look good......
Broken valve stem seal and a suspicious shiney patch on the piston. :mad:
Anyone got a cheap, local, non smokey X16XE for sale? Only really need head and block, no ancillaries really.

Rebuild yours, if you want a head, i also has one :p lol

Seriours tho, rebuild your block, new rings, hone, new shells. Nothing to say a replacement engine wouldnt start smoking within 10miles!

definitely rebuild yours imo. you could buy a second hand one and have the same problem 1000 miles down the road
