replace the fuel filter and give the carb a clean through

yes it sounds like its struggling for fuel although could be an ignition related issue

could be, take it to a carb specialist, ideally one with a rolling road and they can set it up properly. May not NEED it but always a good thing to get it running at its optimum pal. And im sure they will also be able to diagnose your problem

try a Pierburg 2E3 and inlet manifold from an SR if youre going to change carb :thumb: will give it a bit more poke especially if you still take it for a set up

if it is a 1200 carb. then the dizzy goes wrong, causing lots of timing issues, the coils can fail. the choke cable can slip, and old plugs can cause tons of problems if they are shot.

what type of timmeing issues mate and wat do u mean the choke cabel slips cheers

the advance retard diaphragm can leak, meaning the vacuum won't alter the timing when you accelerate, making it feel really flat.... the choke cable has an outer sleeve & it can cause the inner to slip putting the choke on which will also make it run crap.
