electric sun roof

any body ever converted there nova sunroof to electric just wondering is there any handy way and whats needed and out of what :thumb:

thats what i thaught but as im fittin a sun roof skin where there was none wouldn be any more hasle but just thaught id put it out there

loads of people have iirc. you have to use the cav set up, make sure you wire it in properly though!

you have a factory fit tilt slide? you'd need everything from the cav.

yea its a factory one thaught i just need the motor no and fit it to my one instead of the handle

You'll no longer need the handle if you have a motor though.

I put a Cav motor in mine in 20 mins. I didnt get the surround mounted nicely, but had it running in no time. Take a permamnent live (switched ideally) from the interior light.

The threaded mounting holes for the motor are in the Nova roof, just peel back the foam to reveal them, a bit further out than the holes used for the manual winder.

iirc the Frontera panel fits a Nova roof/headlining better than the Cav one.

I've done it in mine, but i use the omega surround.

Have sorted the light out now, using a pov spec light but with a flat strip of leds in.

Get a Cav/Cally/ Astra mirror that sticks to the glass.

I'd changed the way it screw up too, it now screws thru the plastic of the hosing(surround) in the shaped lip on the cut out. Means the light fits a bit nicer and you can use the simple light. (can take pics if wanted)

if you wouldn mind a pic or two would be handy as i have all roof cloth out and just fittin roof skin now so can mod any thing before putting together
