Turbo gone.
Does it blow blue smoke on boost or all the time? If it's all the time could be the rings
check the fins on the turbo and see if there's any play in the shaft if there is it's fooked

yesterday morning i started up and it ran real crap like chuckin lots nd lots of blue smoke out the exhaust . . . so i tryed to drive it and it seems like there is no power and it wudnt rev over 1500 rpm ?? so i calls me bro up he had a look and we messed about with vac pipes and pulled a couple off a blew in them clear beacuse we got told could be blocked and it reved sweet so i left it about few hours come to use the car again and the same problem so i messed about with those vac pipes and there is like a some sort of housin on top the inlet like on a nova dizzy sort of shape ?? i blew into there and it rev'd ?? so i went out and etc . . . come back left the house to take mrs home about 11 and went out side to car and the same happens agin no rev so messed about and it just wudnt happen at all now its stuck on me drive and wont rev but it idles fine just like a normally derv ???

do they have one ???
Yep, some do, little round thing on the inelt with the vac pipe on.
my experience is on big diesels, but we usually fix 99% of running problems with a fuel filter.... we change them first to eliminate them. if the filter is getting blocked up, with crappy fuel, or water, it can run fine one minute, then really bad the next.
cheers for the help guys but . . .
1. Turbo is fine no play in shafts and if you grab the boost pipe you can feel the pressure.
2. Im unsure what the round thing is on the top of the inlet see pic
as that seems to be where the vacuum starts? if we take the boost hose off the inlet its the same as when its on so clearley its not seeing any boost? we took the pipe off last night and blew and sucked it and it revved fine and he went out in it now hes done the same this morning and it wont rev???
this is the vacuum thing

just changed the fuel filter and still no different any suggestions
That vacuum thing is the egr valve, by pass it and see if it runs, my guess is the diaphragm in side is buggered.

right how do i bypass it?? we have pulled the pipe off and trid it but no good?
remove it, and see if the valve is opening/closing when you apply vac.

As John H says, they clog up, take it off and clean it out, I normally use carb cleaner.
