this is the only inlet manifold i have seen from a nova so i have nothing to compare it to.
thanks anyway.
i'll just get a piccy of the inlet ports.

thats a 1.3 2e3 one by the looks of it

and this is a 1.4SR 2e3 inlet which isn't mine.
Its a pic of rgv_stu's i found on here.

well it arrived i take it then snowface,

it is a 1300 sr manifold as it has the cathedral shaped inlet ports (rounded at the top) and it had a pierburg 2e carb on it before i removed it to send it to you.

the pierburg 1b was only a single choke carb therefore the manifold only had 1 hole in the top where the carb fits, as you can see there are 2 holes designed for the 2e carb.

glad it arrived ok

before you buy a 32/34 have you considered going to the scrappers and getting a webber carb off an old xr2 fiesta? will save you alot of cash. all you need to do then is make a plate to convert the inlet manifold to a 4 stud fitment from a 3 stud

yeah, thanks a lot match. It arrived safely this morning. cheers. I wasn't sure if it was a 2e3 or not because i had a picture of a 1.4 2e3 inlet that was different. But now i have the klnowledge.

I'll have a look round scrappies but unfortunatly they are pretty shite round here. Did the xr2 have it as standard then?

wait

the difference between the 2 is not the top of it

rgvstu's has geen ground out to fit a weber 32/34

the carb plate would have looked identical to yours

its only the ports that tell the difference - ie cathedral or square

dont confuse the guy!

what aragron says is true, but dosent affect what your doing! so long as the cathederal ports match up to your head (which they should s u have a 1.2)

than ur fine

i was talking about the standard inlet before it had been machined to one large port on the top. the standard 1b1 inlet only has one hole in the top as it is for a single choke carb

yeah, i know the other inlet there had been ground out to increase flow but it still looked different. I understand now about the twin barrel - twin choke connection.

no the ford did NOT have a dmtl as standard

yes mines a 1400 inlet and yours is a 1300, like i said b4 the inlet runners on mine have flat tops where as yours were rounded indicating to me a 1300 one. mine has the weber adapter plate bolted on so you see what you need to convert to the weber
