Okay well done head gasket,
put head back on and now its making a hideous noise.
Its hard to explain but its like a constant burring noise which increses when you rev it.
I am baffled, think it may be something to do with the lifters but they seem fine
Someone please point me in the right direction before my anger rises and end up hitting it or something stupid like that.
Thanks

Cambelt on too tight? That'd be more of a whine tho wouldn't it?

You positive nothing's catching on the pulleys or anything like that?

Are all the shims on the valves? all rockers seated correctly? No signs of wear on the cams/rockers? Remember, if you've drained and cleaned your lifters (esp with petrol) they'll take what seems an eternity to pump up gain.

Rite taken the head off cleaned the rockers and relocated them, so in about 2 mins time we will see if anything has changed, there were no signs of wear so still have no idea what it was/is

Take that bolt out of the bore while you're there.

I dont actually know lol
Im guessing i upset one of the rockers when putting the head on, as it runs sweet as a noodle now (and noodles run sweet ;) )

All i all next time i do the head gasket i will take my time a little bit more and stop rushing round like a headless chicken trying to bosh it out
Thanks all for the replies, constructive or not you have rep coming your way :d
