Just got in from work and had to bump the car to get it started :(

Drove around for a bit to charge up turned off and still wouldn't start

it's too dark and late to fiddle about with lol

I'll check the belt tommorrow but how do I check if the alternator is putting charge to the battery, just use a multimeter on the bog cable that comes off it when it's running?

It could be the battery aswell as I put this one in a couple days ago

yeah put a multimeter across the battery and you are looking for 13.5-14.2 volts, its not unheard of that a new battery is duff, could be ther starter also.

It's the starter plenty voltage across the battery and alternator connections are fine too

if I leave the car for a while it'll start ok but if I start it and turn it off then start again it will struggle

earths are fine too
