I've lost count of how many times this has been up for sale over the last few years!

Why on earth would you bother fitting an engine into a donor car, thats like taking the mars bar out of the wrapper, replacing it with a wholemeal digestive and trying to resell it as a mars bar lol

my brother once met a bloke with a trans-am that he'd fitted a sherpa diesel engine to because it cost too much in petrol....

The one on MIG was a 4x4 turbo that someone raided the LET & F28 from & dropped a derv 1.7 ISUZU back in which I thought was pretty cool if thats what your after.
Surely it's no dafter than a Beemer coupe diesel or an AUDI TDI covertible?

Apart from the fact the audi convertible diesels are 3.0's with 200+bhp!

/\ No but surely he'll have an opinion about it.

IMO this is a true step forward and pushing the boundaries. I always thought Calibras were as **** as you could get but this chap has managed to make a bad car worse than I ever thought it could be.
