£20 in, seems very expensive to me...is it worth paying that much?? My neighbour suggested going as its only a 30 minute drive for us.

That does seem steep. I'd want a passenger ride in every car for that.

Organisers of events these days really know how to rape their customers IMO.

To think a car full of lads would cost a ton to get into an airfield!! I know there is public liability insurance for the organisers to pay, but I bet it doesnt come to £20 per head, or the cost of portaloo's.

Piss take!

well there was gona be me, him and their lass plus their two youngest kids. Assuming kids were free (both under 2) it would still be £60

And then a £10 burger....

UK 'motorsport' establishments are some of the WORST facilities in the world and somehow we manage to pay top money for it :s Always confuses the crap out of me

its an airfield FFS, i went to Ford Fair at Silverstone a few years ago, that was only £11 with advance booking and its at a proper venue

Didnt they used to keep it a 'closed' event? (no spectators)

Prob just trying to make up for all those years they missed out! lol

Rob - its comments like that, that give the place a bad name, when did you last race there?

Its no Santa Pod, but its our local track and with things the way they are, it will prob close soon, which would be a great loss I think and also mean we are travelling 200 miles each way to Pod as Elvington is only running 1 RWYB this yr.... and prob none after that.

Rant over! ;)

apologies but the last time i was at york actually using the strip, it was very bumpy at the top end, dangerously so, and tbh i found the grip an issue when launching. it really needs a serious investment and totally redoing.
i meant the old a1079 when there was no cash machines...
