MK1 6 pack Dash removing?

bloody heater hose is in the way, almost all the bulbs have blown in it now and in need of being replaced!!

Any tips for getting it out cant get to the cable to pull it from back of speedo etc etc, stupid heater hose thing :twisted:

If you get a haynes (:roll: bloody stoodents lol) it tells you.
Feel in round the back of the dash and feel where the speedo cable goes into the back of it. There is a little flange piece of spring steel which you can press that allows it to be released. Voila :D

:oops: will give it a go, as i wrote tho i dont have little hands to get there but i will try :oops:

using screwdrivers you should be able to pop the bottom then the top of the clocks out, then push the rev counter end in and the speedo end comes out towards you allowing you to get your hands in to take the cable off. then unplug the loom and hey presto.

Heater hoses??

yeah u know the heater tubing that goes to the fans at the side of the mk1 dash. we tried removing it the other day and its just impossible to do.
