For sale (regrettably) I have my MK2 Nova SR, it was converted to a 2.0 16V in 2008 by a local lad I know, hes a Vauxhall enthusiast so it was done properly and not bodged together.
The shell is a genuine SR so comes with extras like electronic windows, central locking, GSI rear spoiler, electronically adjustable headlights and tinted glass. There is NO rot in the usual places like battery tray, boot floor, chassis legs, splash guards or front panel.
The engine also runs sweet and is been exceptionally reliable, I even done a 500 mile trip recently and it didn't miss a beat, also averaging 44 mpg, since I've had the car I don't even take it above 2500rpm when cold and changed oil frequently so its been looked after. Its not one of them 'unhealthy' engines that have seen better days, it pulls VERY strong in all gears, I've had 5 different C20XE'd cars in the past so I know what a good one goes like.
Ideally I would like an enthusiast like me to buy it so I know its getting looked after. If you're 17 and just passed your test or an inexperienced driver this is the wrong car for you because its extremely fast and you might kill your self.
This was from previous advert, pics and spec are mine. I bought the car as i thought it was cool and different from a saxo, but sadly, i don't like it.
What is written above is what Mieran wrote about it when i bought it a bit back. I've had it and enjoyed the sleeper look, but would prefer a 106 gti, as no matter what my mates say, i honestly don't prefer it to a 106.
This car is for a true enthusiast, yes its quick, yes it will smoke a gti/vts, but i don't want that.
It is still registered as the 1.4 sr, up to you to change....
The rest...
General:
- MOT till 8/4/2011
- Tax till 30/9/2010
- New battery was put on last month
- Passenger side wheel bearing replaced couple of months ago
Bad points:
- Drivers side rear arch has 2 dents in it and starting to bubble
- Passenger side rear arch is bubbling and rusted just before where it meets sill
- Reflective part inside the drivers side headlight is faded
- Rust on bottom of driver door
- Speedo doesn't work, have the transducer and spare set of dials
- Sump Leaks
- CV boot split
Please note that this is a 17 year old car and is still on original panels and paintwork so its not in show room condition but at the same time its not rotten like most Novas for sale.
I am open to offers on this i want what i paid back ideally,
But will swap, for a decent 106gti, as that is and always be my dream car....
Car will also come with:
A Corbeau Forza Bucket seat
Eccentric top mounts
New rear arches
All rear seats and belts
Standard nova clocks
Rare smoked rear lights, these are after market items and not cheap DIY'd ones
Thanks for looking
Now has a smooth boot, no wiper or plinth, but the plate recess is still there, and needs paint lol. Comes with an idle control valve aswell, just had one and won't need one now.
Price has been adapted to suit... £1800ono
Pics on ebay/106owners take your pic, i am not allowed to put them up
The reason for sale is not that its dying, i don't really use the thing, it just isn't for me, they are more of a constant project than an everyday car. This is why its for sale....
