still be slow. a 1200 OHC Vauxhall engine has more torque.

Probably good downhill.

Its the wrong way round to be FWD and even states it's RWD on the vid.

IMO i dont see the point. A bike engined car like a Radical/Westfield etc makes sense. But a mk1 Golf? Really??

Agree, bike engined hatches are pointless. Better to admire from an engineering point of view rather than actual performance.

There was a Blade engined 205 at Combe once, I'd say from the sidelines the couple of regular Weber 45'd 1.9 TU'd engine ones were faster.

i have always wanted to put a bike engine in the back of a fiat 126, but my dad gave my sisters old one away before i could get it off the drive and there going for a fortune now

IMO bike engines just are not strong enough for cars.
i think their limit is the westys and other alike.

my mate said he always see's them spitting their guts

a fiat 126 weighs feck all though they had a lawn mower engine as standard lol

yeh with exceptions to tiny cars lol.

anything above westy size/weight and the bike engines just cant deal with it

at the end of the day, they are small capacity engines with little torque tuned to the absolute limits designed to propel something that weighs a fraction of what a car does. The Mk2 Escort on Youtube with the turbo'd CBR engine would go so much better with a BDA...

fecking idiot, clearly says its rear wheel drive and is blatantly obvious by which way the engine is.

and for all you haters i will one day get a bike engine in a nova and prove you wrong, bike engines are the future

It just sounds nasty to me compared to a larger engine (v8/10/12) doing lower rpm.

the hayabusa/smart car is called the Diablo... bet its a handful... i do like the idea of a front or mid bike engined nova, especially when my uncle has tuned his busa to 680bhp, although it has the extended swing arm and even spoilers on the forks its still not ridable, but its businesses mascot and dyno comp smashing weapon... savage bike! see M.B Customs on t'interweb, he turbos and NOS's everything and anything... even built a 1200 turbo ninja engined hillman imp, i want one...
