That looks quite nice............... then I saw the interior. CLASH!!
get some window surrounds on & a grey GTE interior (cheapest) IMO.

Oh & remove all the pap stickers.
i put the moo motorsport onr on, and the abandoned car one, reason being that the scrap man has been leaving cards on all the slightly dodgy cars in the area. yeah the interior is a bit hmm, i was thinking 2 buckets and harnesses tbh..... and black plastic sheet door cards etc....
oh and it has baxters old xe in it. good times.....
Good looking starting place.. With some love it could be a nice one...

Chequers removed I see. Looks alright but that interior looks pants.
love and care she will get.... the hard bits have been done, i.e 2 new front wings, rear qtrs, and new gm doors. it needs the bay tidying, and the interior doing. and im undecided on the wheels....

Looks good rob.
Is the dash a gsi one?
Looks black and gray?
And, wheels to something anthracite, and drop it more:)
the dash is a painted grey one. luckily the seller gave me a grey sri one too. so ill swap it over.
I'd change the wheels and that terrible tailpipe too
the backbox needs adjusting, its a stainless system now, it had a std backbox on. the alloys are ok for now...
Looks like a good base :)

tbf i saw it a few days and thought it would make a nice project personaly id return it to white stick a full gsi interior in it change the wheels and exhaust and lower it a bit more and fit some carbs but at £850 i thought it was a good place to start

nice car and price :thumb:
possibly, i like the yellow but its not the greatest job. red or white maybe. lower, yep, and im drawn to buckets and harnesses.... oh dear....
Bargain car, with a few adjustments will be a dirt cheap track/road car
nice base to start with, nice to see another car staying in the club
Put some black bumper striprs on it

I didnt want to sell it unless it stayed in the club.
To me it wants a full repaint in white, some red bumper trim stripes and some gsi skirts.
Oh and i DID NOT put that tail pipe on! Glad to see its gone to some one who will give it the attention it needed tho
And so far im happy with the BMW. Cheers.
thanks mate, good doing business today, take care of bessie for me :)
i fitted the tail pipe, the stock one was limiting its breathing.
Fix the illegal plate too!
And the tax too, before Sloth comes along to report you lol
yes spudders. :)
edit:
came out this am to find a note on the celicas windscreen:
"hi guys its laura from number 28a ( backs onto the car park ) your nova was broken into this morning, its in the middle of the carpark. cheers."
so, majorly fukked off, i found it in the middle of the carpark, doors ajar and steering lock snapped off. they had black boxed it and started it apparently but she came out and disturbed them. the battery is flat now. ive called the cops to fingerprint it as i 99% know whos done it. im sooo fuking angry its beyond words. :(
just got off the fone with the cops, theyre coming today to fingerprint it, and they asked if i wanted to prosecute. errr yus!!!! heres hoping....
nice car dude :)
gutting about the cunts tying to nick it :(
yeah, it kinda sours the full thing tbh. i may just sell up and not bother tbh. we shall see....
stop being gay itll just teach you to get better sercurity on your vehicles
That's not good at all
What security did you have on it ? I would of thought a bright yellow nova would need more security than normal tbh
it had the king lead removed, but the bast.ards fitted their own!!!!! whoever did it knew what they were doing, hence why im sure i know who it is. only me and the wife knew there was no king lead. oh and if the person that did this is reading it, when the cops have finished with you im gonna put you in hospital. mods, delete that if you like but its true. alarm was/is on the cards now.

Are you saying a member on here is the likely culprit Rob ?
Are you saying a member on here is the likely culprit Rob ?
pretty shoite if it is a member but just think, if you are a thief and looking for a nova this place is like a bloody shopping list, and the same goes for many other forums.
no, but the person i think it is has used the site before. hasnt been on in ages but he reads the site. i only think this, i cant prove it. yet.

Bad news rob, seems people still want old novas lol
Just be glad that A) you have it back
And B) no one was hurt!
your not wrong bazil. i now get why mike had a wip in club chat. right, im off to source a lockset. :)
Time to electrify the garage door again me thinks, just hope next doors cat don't go near it lol
flol/\ i like that. just got a lockset for £25, now gonna buy an alarm....
After Market steering wheel and boss, I duno if you saw the thread a couple of weeks ago when a lads nova was broken into and when the thiefs tryed to break the steering lock the boss gave in and folded due to there colapsable design, the steering lock didn't get broke and the car was left as it could not be steered.
thats sh1t news mate, least you still have it tho
mine has that, they did this with a length of scaff pole.
I really hope the reason it didnt go is because the ecu was under your pillow dude!
nope but the ****er will be. it didnt go as my neighbour disturbed em. just ordered an alarm off ebay, nothing huge, but better than nowt.
edit: this alarm...

i always remove the ecu on the loon and store it in a safe place thats even with the car having a clifford and being in a locked garage, but at the end of the day if someone wants it no mater what you do it will go found that out with my old valver taken from my mums with a clifford and a disc lock (the thatchram approved ones)
and also did you expect anything else in hull with no alarm lol
id also fit a curcuit breaker in the feed to the fuel pump a simple hiden switch it wont start without fuel
jesus, did they hi-ab it? i sleep with a hockey stick next to the bed, but seen as the car is round back i cant hear it. once shes fixed and in daily use i'll have her round the front....
You had it what, a couple days and someone has tried to nick it already?! Gotta love the Norf lol
Anyway. Crack on with the security, then fit a V6 :d
Sorry to hear your bad news. If you think the culprit is reading the thread, you should probably delete that link to the alarm you're putting on it so they don't get chance to do their homework on it.
very smart mate, shame about the attempted theft tho

not loooked at the link, but any cheap ebay alarm will be a piece of wee wee to get around/ignore anyway.
Why are you wasting money on a nova when you are supposed to be allegedly buggering off to oztraila

That's crap dude, already tried to get jacked.
A decent alarm and a kill switch and/or immobiliser should help make things difficult for them.
nice car, shame about the rims.

It's just a crappy <£30 one.
I don't think he's really going to Oz, haven't you learnt anything? lol
but I was living in hope that this would be the one thing he wouldnt bullsheet about.... lol
visa is here, just sorting the tickets :) so dont worry stu. this thing is "one last nova" to get it out my system. yeah the alarm is a cheapo one but its the deterrent factor. the soco has just been and finger printed, and they got some decent prints off the drivers glass and stuff. sorted a lock too so its all good. and if they come back i'll be waiting....
You had it what, a couple days and someone has tried to nick it already?! Gotta love the Norf lol no, 16 hrs.....:wtf:
Anyway. Crack on with the security, then fit a V6 :d
no no no, no v6's. gotta clean all the alloy powder off it now....
Leave the powder on, its far more fun having a car covered in the stuff :) I only washed the powder off mine when I started doing the bodywork repars 2 months after soco had been round.
oh go on, do over who ever tried to take the car, get a criminal record and then dont goto Oz...... FFS dont touch the people PLEASE!!!! lol
yeah yeah i know, im just angry. its sickening, as you cant have fook all really. im praying they catch em mind.
yeah the alarm is a cheapo one but its the deterrent factor.
Not really, since you've put it on here for everyone to see. If the person who did it IS reading this, they'd have just seen that ^^ :tard:
but if said alarm went off like fook at 4am would you wake up and look? i ferkin would..... :)
Lynz, dont forget, Rob is a cretin lol
stu, you know me well my darlin :D
no no no, no v6's.
You disappoint me :(
After a trip down Weston last night in Dougie's 3.0 v6 Cavvy, I say yes, yes, yes please to V6s!
6 pot brakes are a bit keen....
not got the funds atm jack, id love one, but no. i still want to build a 3.2 v6 corsa c.....
lynz that wasnt a pop at you btw. :)

lynz v6 china blue
Jamaica 1.8 turdbo is next on the list, hopefully lil' China will get a revamp next winter 2011/2012. I'd like to V6 it but kinda love that the most economic motor we have between us is my 2.0 8v Nova, more excuse to have it on the road when it does 50 mpg :thumb:

Sounded like a bit of a bargain. Unlucky about the break in but you cant moan about it if you didnt secure it well enough.
Also, if the theif is likely to read this thread telling him you are going to put him in hospital is a stupid thing to say. He will probably now vandalise the car as many times as possible until you learn to shut your mouth and also well done on getting an alarm, but jesus...telling the same reader exactly which one you bought? Hardly a deterant now is it lol
i wantz v6sexness
I knows where there is a V6 vectra wagon thats coming up for sale soon lol
update: its now secure, new lock and stuff. astra mk3 ones fit, suprisingly.... can a mod please move this to projects...?

Nice looking Nova Rob. :) I too am a fan of the Q plate reshell on Renautl ph2 16v wheels. Hope you get your security issues sorted and the car gets some trick additions mate. :thumb:

Tidy looking car, I'd personally invest in a steering lock aswell as the alarm :). Goodluck to a thief trying to get one of them off quietly
