I like it because it's an old skool touch to the Nova's but when fitted I'm still not 100% sure about it

Here's some pics anyway:

No mate, I measured it by eye and just went at it - Had it lying about for a while then decided to use it and I was surprised how well it 'measures up'

10 self tapping screws or something holding it on :)

Aye not too bad mate - Working all the time now so not much free time. Not got a clue about a meet mate

Not enough cars IMO for a meet...Could maybe sort something out though :)

Think they suit GSi bumpers better but I know how much you dislike them.

how about the laguna one without vents?

Rysee
31-07-10, 10:21 PM
I'm not a huge fan of them on the GSi bumper but prefer them on the GSi

Mine is a little different on the gsi as it doesn't sit right at the front, tbh I only have one as it came with the car, I'm not a big fan.

i had a vision of how that was going look in my head but tbh im not to sure on it mate,

I like the GSi bumper on a GSi...lol

Got to be the one with the vents though as folk know exactly what they are :thumb:

Cheers for the comments

I always preferred the seat splitter!

(apologies for the light brows folks!... and the GSi skirts on vinyl...and the mesh grill...was young!) lol

vaughanmc

I quite like the GTE sideskirts on the SR/SRi vinyl :) Mesh grill is OK if it's black as well

I had an Ibiza splitter but it would have been too low IMO but maybe cool

Always think a slaguna splitter looks good on a standard mk2 bumper, they stick out too far and look odd on a GSi one, heres mine.....

Oh and there are about thirty screws holding mine on lol

vaughanmc
01-08-10, 01:58 PM
Looks almost perfectly fitted there Spud, I like how theres no join in the middle as well

Spudly
01-08-10, 02:07 PM
Its a pain in the bum to do it that way but you chop the overhang and use the original width, you need to use more screws to get the bends right on the edges but its worth doing for the overall look, my first one i chopped it in half and shortened one side before i realised but i drilled a hole in each side and tiewrapped the two together underneath so it was less noticable lol

*edit*

Cant find a picture of it on the first car i fitted it to (my old black one)

But i reused it on my old red one, from this angle you cannot see the join.....

But from this angle you can see it although its a nice clean join, although its off to one side....

lol I tried to get my join to be in the middle (Didn't quite work out but not too bad) but also wanted the vents to line up with the headlights

Overall looks good but could be better lol

That's with 60mm iirc and 15's along with my old-er nova sr which was standard.

K reg sr btw^

I like it but prefer the deeper Espace splitter tbh. Here's my old sr.

Ibiza splitter is cool but would have trouble getting up my drive and over speedbumps with one fitted

Sturge
03-08-10, 07:25 PM
Only thing I'm not keen on with the ibiza splitter is the radius of the corners, not really sharp enough for nova bumpers imo

I think the laguna one works best on gsi bumpers, I had a clio splitter (no vents) on my sri which i think finished it off nicely and subtley

will have to see if i can find pics

Ibiza ones are waay deep. I used to have one but it was pretty impractical even on a 30mm drop.

Laguna/Espace is the classic it has to be said.

astra mk4 also works quite well, the way they're made they're quite easy to shape to the nova bumper too.

They can never be too low. I have the ibiza one on mine and there is literally a few mm clearance and obviously avoiding speedbumps i can thrash it down the road and it won't catch, just make sure you have some springs as tough as mine Lol.

Laguna looks nice and subtle though mate.
