im bring my inner arches back to metal and reundersealing them,my original plan was to put seam sealer on the metal joins :wtf: (cant think of a better way of describing them) but was told the seam sealer traps moisture and it would rot is this true:confused:

Seam sealer should be OK. But if it cracks away it will trap moisture in.

Tetra-schultz is a good product to use, but is gooey black tar like stuff that is very messy, it isnt very thick so doesnt offer any cushioning to stone chipping etc IMO.

Have you seen 3M Gravi-guard or Gaivi-tex products??

Idea of seam sealer is to keep moisture from entering the gap between the panels. It'll rot if you trap moisture behind it or it somehow fails and lets water seep in.
