oil pressure ?????

ive turned my c20let engine over tonight (dissconected the ht lead so it wouldnt start) and was wondering why when cranking it over it read now oil pressure now i dont no if it should have any while turning it over o weather ive just got it wired up wrong but theres oil all around the engine so i just wantted to chech if the oil presure gauge should read while its cranking over

The oil light should go out after a bit of cranking, depends what you have been doing to the engine depends how much you need to crank it.

The light will only come on if the sensor is connected afaik.

theres no light on the dash at all

ive allso got a external oil pressure gague and thats not even showing anything when turning it over

take the spark plugs out, it will spin much faster and probable disconnect power to the coil\ ignition.

my 20xe doesnt show any oil pressure until it starts as the starter isnt turning it over very fast
