View Full Version : Steering Rack Strip
Now, before anyone moans, I have tried searching...
Has anyone stripped down a Nova steering rack before, or is there a thread on this?
The reason I ask is that I want to freshen up the external surface of the rack, I have removed the arm's etc but before I go ripping the rest apart I thought I would just ask.
Obviously I know it 'can' be done as Quaife supply the quick kit to fit the standard rack (that's what I have btw).
Cheers.
don't you just remove the pinion/input shaft & then the rest slides out?
I don't know, that's why I'm asking before I feck up my Quaife kit. lol
Lee H did mine maybe worth asking him via pm
Its covered in the haynes manual.

No problem, had the manual on my desk so thought I'd scan it. :thumb:
With the blessing of Haynes obviously lol

Also IIRC trackdaynova did this in his WIP. But tbh that Haynes scan is pretty useful.
