:cry: i have a 1.2 merit d reg my petrol gage keeps going up and down and b4 u say it i has got petrol in it i can be sitting at traffic lights and u can watch the gage go up and down so please help me :cry:

check the connections to the fuel sender. they might be rusty or not connected well. my sr used to do this because it had been standing for a couple of months, it's sorted itself out now though :?

if your on a slope then flat then lsopw up and down the fuel guasge will do this! it works on a similar system to how ur toilet fills up using a ball inside the tank, so when ur on a slope it will think its more full or les full than it is!!

or one that has badly corroded where the spade terminal pushes on

use malt vinegar to clean it, and wipe off (vinegar is acid) so watch the paitn work

Check all wires and follow them along carefully to see if there are any breaks etc... sh*t job i know but its the only why your gunna find out.
