075 diesel is a good size, or if your after small try a decent make 063.

i used to run standard 1.poo battery on the xe never had a problem till i fited the let

original nova. used to work fine.

now i'm using a redtop battery.

(the brand redtop, not a c20xe)

i fitted a 1400 astra battery when i did my engine swap, so much more cranking amperage...

fit an astra mk3 diesel battery. it is as big as will fit in a std battery tray & still stay on the plastic protector.

i'm guessing an astra 1400 battery is about the same as a nova one.

For the record, Halfords lists dimensions of their range of batteries on their website. I used that info to find the biggest one I could to fit in the battery partition!

i have a 05 plate bmw 330 derv batt on my 1.4 if it dont start i drive it on the battery lol
