Do you REALLY REALLY REALLY need the strengthening kit?
Are you going forrest rallying?
anyway, as much as saying its not needed, you will do it anyway.
HH sell a "reduced" kit for 'road' cars that is a bit cheaper and does the job of the rally kit

lol you really do hate theses kits dont you Stu!!
I dont hate the kits, they have a purpose...... fitted to a car thats gonna be chucked round a rally stage.
for road use, unless the front end is made of swiss cheese, seam welding is enough imho

Seam welding the shell or the bay or both would be enough?
personally I'd go full bay/shell as its given excellent results in the past.
but as a MINIMUM the bay needs doing.

How much are the kits anyway? Surely if they are not too expensive you may aswel stick the kit in anyway if your going to the trouble of doing the whole shell.
ffs, google and harry hockley.... do you want your bum wiped too? lol

£66 full kit
£38 fast road...plus vat, ironically, 'full kit' doesn't come with the strut tops that the fast road kit has..lol
Cheers guys. the car aint the best of shape atm, will be needing a new front panel and inner wings so thought a strenthing kit would benifit it. as i would be putting a bigger engine in my car. so these fast road kits look ideal for what i need. cheers guys

It will add strength;). Why not if youve got the bay stripped anyway, its not much effort to weld the kit in place before the engine goes back in!:thumb:
