bottom fanbelt pulley come loose

hi all, bottom fanbelt pulley has come loose while driving in the nova today, would this have caused any damage to the engine etc... ? engine is a 1.2 carb.

SHould be ok as its only a baby pully. I would recommend you fit a new bolt though, with some threadlock.

nope they are non interference engines so even if its come loose enough for the cam belt to skip it will be fine. even a 1,6 that the bottom pulley fell off that i head was fine once i put the cam belt back on. just check its times up properly and as lee said use locktiight when doing it up again
