As per title, i'm after a throttle cable for my sport, see as they're no longer available i want a copy. Anyone know of anyone who does this sort of thing? I have my old cable that's about had it, but useful for reproducing. Anyone?:)

Sorry to hi-jack John, but does it need to be a specific 'Sport' throttle cable setup or can the twin linkage one be used ?

Are they? I used one on a set of Sport 40;s I used to have (circa 2004) an it worked fine with a Sport centre linkage

Trying to find one of these is also a nightmare, so i reckon it's just going to be easier to have 1 or 2 made.

You could try tuthill controls near the south coast. They sorted me some gearbox cables for the VX at a fraction of the price that GM wanted, and they are about a million times better quality too lol

Usually plenty of them on Ebay.

Looks like it is the same as on the 1.2 early spi corsas. When my speedo cable broke 2 years ago on my 1984 car after trying the usual stockists I went to vauxhall who told me that it was unavailable, thier advice was to buy a new car! I decided to see if any other car had something similar ion the scrappy that could be adapted for a carb car. The corsa is exactly the same, even the rubber grommit for the bulkhead is the same, shame vauxhall doesn't realise this!!!
Have a look in a scrappy, if it fits, take a few.

i said speedo when i meant throttle! only difference I can see is that instaed of the bolts at the mounting, it is a ribbed bit with a circlip which should work the same.

ello peeps, seems alot of folk know their webers on this thread, could anyone tell me the float level setting on weber 40s for a C14SE... i drove if for the first time the other day and it was cod sh1t, i think the jets need changing again but i dont think the main circuit is engaging properly, if the float level being adjusted will make any difference it'll be massively helpful... also, does anyone know where i can get F11 emulsion tubes for less than £8.50 a pop?

Probably easier for you to start your own thread in mechanical fella.
