just read the car fcuk up post an noticed that i have the same problem, car shudering when braking from about 50, has been doing this for some time now (but past it's MOT 4 months ago). Recently i fitted alloys, and when i make a tight turn, it feels like something is catching, or possibly grinding only slightly, (like sum sort of click that i can feel through the steering wheel). I thought these two cud be related, any ideas as to what the click thing is?

ps. alloys are 14inch. Although i don't think it's them catching, it didn't happen wit me old wheels.

do you have standard brakes or uprated bigger ones?

brake shield catching, cv joint or cv boot missing perhaps?

judder is track rod end - its usually tested in mot - if done 4 months ago it may not have bneen as bad as it is now (jack car up and wobble wheel if wobbles back n forth then track rod). Could be steering rack?

Jack car up and turn wheels full lock and see if they are catching on anything - no loose body work etc
