A friend of mine mounted a master cylinder on the gearbox so that it moved the standard clutch lever? If that makes sense? It was on a massive spec rally car and seemed to work really well. Il try dig some photos out :)

^^ not master cylinder. A slave cylinder iirc.
He made his own floor mounted pedal box and took a while to get it all set up. Unfortunatly I can't ask him the percifics as he's no longer around :(

Reyland Motorsport specialise in doing these sort of conversions so would be a good port of call for info and advice.

IIRC they machined the gearbox casing to accept a slave cylinder which directly operated the release arm somehow. Quite a lot of work involved and you will need to swap to a complete pedal box setup with the hydraulic clutch facility

So unless you have got a lot of cash sat around i really wouldnt bother

just use a hydraulic slave cylinder/release bearing from a vectra

Iirc the F18 comes in cable and hydraulic variants so surely you could use those bits to convert a f20
