i was driving along duel carrige way when all of a sudden my revs went and then car died and wont fire....fuel pump is fine i have fuel in rail sparks from leads....everything seems ok....crank sensor looks fine......any1 have any idears what it could be ???....:thumb:

Have you flashed the codes to see if any have been recorded.

could it be the crank sensor.....

If you have fuel and a spark my first point of call would be to check the timing.

Could be CS yes, you cant tell if its borked just by looking at it lol

As Lee says if you jhave fuel and spark, you either have a weak spar, not enough fuel, or timings out.

No cant be CS as it wouldnt spark if it was fooked.

ok cheers people.....my timing was done about 3 weeks ago as had new cambelt and pump....if the timings ok should i try a new ecu ???....

no if its got Fuel and Spark it should start. Again, it can only be:

a) Timing- Check Cambelt
b) Weak Spark- Use a Spark Checker
c)Low fuel pressure- use a pressure gauge

TBH thats a warning flag if the belt was only done a few weeks ago. More likely to jump some teeth it it wasn't tensioned properly.

not that i no of mate but the car dont sound like its trying to start...its as if i have snapped the crank because the cambelt is fine and the timings not out.....:S
