Flashed it out with the engine off and it's giving code 19 crank angle sensor incorrect signal. Engine runs fine, light came on after restarting. Ive got the battery disconnected to reset the code, and I presume it flashed code 19 as the engine wasn't turning, therefore not giving an rpm signal anyway. So, if code 19 is the fault, what's the cure?

Correct, code 19 will flash up when not running, have you flashed it while running and the light is on?

Did try that but the light just quick flashed non stop. I've reset it and driven 60 odd miles and it's stayed off so I'm hoping it Was just a small hiccup

Its a 1.8 spi tho, I thought it was only XE's that flashed out crank sensor when not running?

I'd have thought any car with a crank sensor would do it...my V6 does..

Sometimes my Cav EML light flickers on for a few seconds, iirc it has to stay on for 30 secs to log a fault code, otherwise ignore it!
