whats the best way to paint it?

or is it better to heat wrap it ?

Best coating is probably ceramic coating or similar? All the high temp paints I've used in the past have burnt off.

as above, id heat wrap, it looks good and its probably easier and cheaper than coating

Yeah I was gutted when I spent ages painting up my 4 branch, carefully getting it on the car without scratching it. Started the car and was greeted with clouds of black smoke coming from the engine bay, and then a pile of peeled paint on the floor. Wasn't impressed.

Make it black from the start and use BBQ paint.

It's only in black usually but yes BBQ paint as it designed for high temperatures.

Well it's got to look better than rust IMO and if it starts to burn off over time it's easy to touch up, your only other way though as said is to wrap it.

if you wrap it you should paint the wrap too
