Can anyone check their installation works ok?

Downloaded the latest version as my pc didn't have google earth installed after the recent reformat.

It installed fine and runs when clicked but will not show any images at all on the view screen.

The application and its GUI all load ok. It tells me it cannot access servers. My firewall is allowing the application and all google apps to acces the net. I've done a server test and 2 of 3 serves come back fine, but I have no idea why the 3rd server isn't responding, doesn't even show on the test while google troubleshooting clearly says to test it's 3 servers.

Google maps in sattelite mode and 3D mode won't load pics either

Hmm, I sees.

Just tried again and no luck.

Just baffled as to why it does it. It wasn't installed before therefore it's not possible google settings have been tampered with.

Haven't checked the link Southie, but I have been through a lot of google's troubleshooting.

No need to worry anymore as I've finally sussed it.

After removing, deleteing registry entries and reinstalling both my firewall and google earth to no avail, the only thing left on the pc that had anything to do with the internet was the antivirus.

After disabling the 'link scanner' in AVG it worked! Apparently the 'link scanner' actively scans internet links and refuses access to certain known 'bad' sites.

Google Earth bad? lol
