I'm fitting a quickshift and I can't get the ball joints on my old linkage apart. Any tips anyone?

all the plastic ball joints WILL break when doing this, you would be better off making a rose jointed one now tbh

Agree, they will break & they are not available anymore.

The option I can think of is to pour boiling water on them to soften them with the heat, see if that helps them come apart. Otherwise rosejoint it following dar's guide in the articles section.

Update. I tw**ed harder, guess I was being a bit of a southern shandy drinking fairy before so I didn't break it. Anyroad, got it apart with no breakages and the new one in. It's just stiff as **swear word** now, might have to take it off again and file the balls down a touch.
