KIA - Have you seen their cars of late?

I have been a salesman at a car dealers for Mazda, Suzuki and KIA for around 5 months now. Prior to that i was in the valet bay for 3 months.

At first, i though 'Hmmmmm KIA, this could be interesting:|', but i have to say, these cars are actually VERY good!

I appreciate the Picanto and Rio arent the best of things, but hey ho, they are still bargains.

As for the other models, they really are high quality cars now.

The Cee'd is a firm contender for the Astra, Focus and dare i say it, Golf.

The rest of the range is the same, if not better. Sorento, New Sportage, Soul and Venga models are all very highly finished and refined. Most also have a 5 star NCap crash rating too.

The majority are all designed and engineered in Germany and built built in Slovakia. The Picanto and Rio are mainly built in Korea.

And when you look at whats coming later this year/next year, i have to say i think they are going to go from strength to strength!

Anyone had any dealing with these cars on a personal level?

Must doing it effectively though as Ive heard Kia are shifting some stock of cars with the 7 year thingy they offer (warranty or garantee or whatever?)

There is a white C'eed at work and its got a slightly lairy engine and looks hard as funk!!!! would have one if it was sensibly priced :)

and the Soul looks the tits too for that kind of car.

Its about time the whole look of 'normal' cars got a shake up


as for a 7year warranty..... I dont care how long the warranty is, a GOOD car dosent need one ;)

Longest warranty on the market is ALWAYS gonna be a major selling point though (for the masses anyway)

Only "newish" car im taking a liking to is the Ford Cougar 4x4 thingy, look cool as fook in white :cool:

Also Ive heard a GM dealer in Stoke is shifting out a rackload new shape Astra 1.8 16v's pre registered on a 59 for £8k a piece :eek:

LR will 'help' with warranty work for upto 10 years depending on the service history ;)

Merc offer 30year anti corrosion (as its needed big time lol)

The Ford Kuga is the tits, BUT the price they are being sold at for the spec you get, you might aswell go and get a Freelander 2 for better spec and same money, and get a nicer badge :)

Agree with the price yeah, you can get a 3 year old X5 (for example) fully loaded for the price of a new Cougar/Kuga (however its bloody spelt!)

Ive heard bad things about Freelanders eating headgaskets every 50k miles tho, dunno how true it is mind :confused:

a cougar will get you the big puma lol
the kuga will get you the grass/gravel 'off roader' lol

FL2 is pretty reliable, they only tend to eat mafs and the off injector
