Hi all.
Has anyone used 2 antiroll bars before?
I have the GTE ones, and was wondering weather to mount 2 on the front?
Would it be too stiff etc?
And im running a mk2 astra, and a 18mm nova one on the back:thumb:
use decent suspension and you wont 'need' antiroll bars on the front of a nova
2 on the front?
Even 1 makes the handling ****, put 2 on the back and don't mean 2 standard Nova ones.
1x Nova and 1x Astra type with nuts/plates welded on the beam
here we go the old, hard springs, no arb, vs softer springs & arb's...
it all depends on what you drive, how you drive, & how you like to drive.
The springs dont need to be "that" hard to go without the arb.
IF the nova OEM arb was a good design then it might be of use, but as it stands its not much use to anyone.
A blade arb would be perfect (and in reality not 'that' expensive to make) :)

:confused::confused::confused: what you been smoking?
Sounds like a wasted effort.
Rear anti roll bars are a great mod, i noticed some loss of understeer even at low speeds.
matt, try it then get it tested, it might be a likeable drive, or it might be crap.... i'd guess off the line traction might not be so good

Define to me decent?
Ive gone for them cheapo Gaz Golds, I know theyre not "amazing" but should do the job till I get a set of remote Leda's

That means you needed new tie bars instead of 2 roll bars!!!lollollol
Never seen anyone snap a tie bar without an impact of some sort!

I dont class gaz golds as "Quality" suspention though, but maybe im setting my sights too highlol
Erm, so, Ill bang 2 front roll bars on, and when its used next year, Ill report back:d
im running 2 arbs on the rear and will be looking at the possibility of running 2 on the front if theres too much roll when its back running!
i'm on gaz golds too btw

your gaz golds are more like Ledas than you think ;) since Le or Da now works for Gaz (cant remember which one lol)
The 'new' Leda brand is not a patch on the old stuff.
Sensbile spring rates will help negate the need for much/any ARB'ing up front.
One on the rear and gte/gsi on the front
Nova's are crap without a front arb.
Tried it with and without on my XE and that had Bilsteins on

:thumb: I drove both and prefer the arb on the front aswell.
never had an antiroll bar but i was looking at getting one for front and back
i thought my nova drove fine with a front arb on konis set to there stiffest

Try it with and without, it differs for peoples driving style, no right or wrong!;)
think it also depends on the road surfaces you will be on,
My car is mainly used on poorly maintained bumpy unclassified roads so if i was to compensate for no arb it would just skip off on the first corner!
softer springs and front arb is certainly a requirement for the needs of my car
Why?
Im pretty sure vauxhall know more than people in a shed.
which proves my point surely
cars will be setup to understeer as its the safer option than oversteer for mass produced mundane cars.
