rescued it from the scrap man, been sat in a garage for 40 years, tottally original, luckily got down and bought it just before he came to pick it up lol

Im not putting this in the forsale section nor am i putting a price as i dont want wasters or people who will let it rot away, will only sell to someone who will restore it like it deserves, would make a fab hotrod tho, chasis is good as is 90% of the body but sills are knackard, what do you people recon is the best route to go to sell it to the right person? rod sites? classic restorer's? also how do you price something like this when i cant find another forsale in any state or condition??? dont have a v5 but do have reg number.

pictures will follow when ive had chance to move it to its new home after the weekend

they didn't start making them till the late sixties.

escort with knackered sills..... there will be a lot more rust underneath.

if it is really old, the reg no might not still be valid. they changed the v5 system a good while ago, but it may not be centrally registered.

1967IIRC the escort came out buddy.

Definately not the 1950's:thumb:

Anyways, probably worth scrap value if its rottern, see what its like.

And ignore the logbook lark. Any vehicle with an old gree book can have the number kept, but only on that vehicle, so if its go a "shortened" reg on it, it can only be kept on the car:thumb:

Well according to internet it was the late 60's the escort came out.

My guess is its a squire, with escort badges, as the escort was a "newer" car?

seen a few of these, extremely rare (sub 200 left) bits are easy to get apart from the back end. sills can be made using 100e ones. they look mint slammed on minilites and fitted with a zetec. the van was called a 300e, the escort was a basic estate, and the squire was the posh version. my uncles ahd 7-8 pops/300e's etc. dependant on pics, if its as good as you say, to the right collector its prob £750-£1000. get on the 100e register mate. :)
