Intermittent check engine light

My check engine warning light keeps flashing on and off. It's been doing it for a few weeks now, but the engine doesnt seem to be running any different.

It's a GTE engine in a Mk2 shell.

It's been happening since I power washed the top of the gearbox after it through a lot of oil out of the gearbox breather.

Anyone any ideas?

have a look at the coling system it could be airlocking the temp switch, and also have a good look at the flexi pipe between the AFM & throttle mine had a split there that cause loads of strange light on moments

Could just be water in a plug for a sensor just playing up

I would pull al the electrical plugs and WD40 them and a blow out see if it helps
