yeh usually i though you could open the back of the case up and pull the shaft through a bit to drop out and put a new one in. but it is prety tight so not sure in a nova. didnt you replace it when you put it in?
It always a must

bollox why?
i removed the full cluster from my box with the engine mounted so i cant see why you couldnt change the clutch?????

because the chassis rail is in the way of undoing the bolts on the end plate :(

well if chassis is in the way il just drop the mount off and let engine down a little bit to get clearance. should be able to manage it. i hope
I need to replace the clutch in my Xe Nova also.
Am I right in thinking you just slide the shaft out and then just drop the clutch out?
its easier to remove the whole cluster out as one
Undo inspection plate, and end cover, withdraw input shaft, drop out clutch using clips to hold it together refitting is reverse of that.
Will only work with a flat flywheel though. If it's a pot one the box will have to come off!

True.
I have no idea at this stage. I have the XE out of the Mark2 Astra - 20XE?
