nova 1.4sr not running right

hi all, finally got the sr in and running, but it seems really restricted, sort of 1.2 power, just doest seem to pull at all, new dizzy cap, leads, plugs etc... what could it be ?

What car are you used to also, it's not going to seem quick compared to most modern cars. My missus renault scenic feels quicker than my SR.....

cheers for replies guys, ive had these engines before and this one just seems so sluggish, ive checked dizzy cap, plugs, leads, coil, but not sure what else to check to be honest ? its also got a 1.3sr cam fitted.
